La Foresteria Valdese

The Foresteria Valdese is one of the guest houses of the Waldensian and Methodist Church in Italy. The house is just few minutes away from St. Mark’s Square and Rialto Bridge. It offers to its guests a warm and welcoming environment in a typical eighteenth century palace. Plus it gives the occasion to visit such a magical city as Venice.

The Foresteria offers accommodation with breakfast included for individuals, couples, families and groups, without distinction of religion, race, gender and age.

The CSD Foresteria Valdese in Venice is managed, through a committee, by the Commissione Sinodale per la Diaconia.The Commissione Sinodale per la Diaconia is a body of the Waldensian and Methodist Church in Italy and is part of the Coordination of the Waldensians Guesthouses in Italy. The aim of the Coordination is to enhance the presence and activities of Waldensians accommodations in Italy, as well as being a means of contact and knowledge with members and sympathizers of the Protestant churches around the world.
Le foresterie valdesi aderiscono all'associazione internazionale ACH-VCH che raggruppa strutture ricettive di ispirazione cristiana a livello europeo.

The guest-Waldensian adhere to the International ACH-VCH comprising accommodation of Christian inspiration in Europe.

In the same palace, Palazzo Cavagnis, have also established the Waldensian and Methodist Church of Venice and the Centro Cultural Palace Cavagnis.
Palazzo Cavagnis, hosting the Foresteria and the Waldensian Church in Venice is now under a thorough restoration in order to ameliorate the welcoming of single guests and groups. The working are interesting both rooms and common areas, but during the works the Foresteria is open and offers accommodation as usually.
