The Cultural Center Palazzo Cavagnis promotes relations activities and meetings, concerts, exhibitions and conferences in collaboration with institutions (regional, provincial, common) and instances of religious, cultural and social in their area.

The goals of the Cultural Center are:

• make know the tradition and the Protestant religious thought in Venice and its territory;
• develop and enrich the protestant witness in Venice and in the social and cultural context linked to the city;
• keep open a constructive dialogue with religious and social realities related to the protestants conceptions or border experiences;
• give voice to cultural, religious, and social issues that have any adequate opportunities to express themselves.

Usually initiatives take place in the noble hall of the Palazzo Cavagnis, hosting of the Waldensian and Methodist Church and of the Foresteria Valdese. Some activities are organized in collaboration with local or national's associations and are proposed in areas outside the Palace.

The music programme is partly organized in collaboration with the Association MusicArtVenezia. The Cultural Center, in recent years, collaborated for the cultural program with the following associations and organizations: the Waldensian and Methodist Church in Venice, the Association La Gabbianella e altri animali, the association Protestant Cinema Roberto Sbaffi.

The Cultural Center also hosts, in the hall on the first floor of Palazzo Cavagnis, the permanent historical exhibition on the Waldenses:“The Waldensian: eight centuries of history.”. The exhibition is open by appointment by calling the secretariat on wednesday from 3.00pm to 6.00pm. For groups and schools can be prepared, upon request, of animations about the history or the differences between the Waldensian Church and the other Churches.

All events are "free entrance" and start at 6,00pm.
